Moment and Forever is a poetic journey by filmmaker Yasaman Hasani. Having grown up in post-revolutionary Iran, she has lived in Austria for many years. In an experimental arrangement composed of two parts from her childhood and adulthood, she offers the audience a glimpse into her personal experiences with gender-specific stereotypes in these cultures.

Yasaman Hasani

Yasaman Hasani is a Vienna-based animator and filmmaker. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in painting from Tehran University and another in Animation from TMU University, she moved to Austria to study and work internationally. During her studies, she produced three experimental animations, which were presented by several film festivals, some with winning distinctions. Since 2014, she has enhanced her animations on multidisciplinary art platforms, and she hosted her first solo animation-installation exhibition in Austria at Das studio der Neuen Galerie’ in the Joanneum Quarter during her artist residency program in Graz. Since then, she has also cooperated with international contemporary composers and presented her experimental animations as a part of other experimental performances.
