BODY PLACE IMAGE features 11 Georgian artists in the process of producing a work designed for KHIDI, a techno club standing in the shadow of the Vakhushti Bagrationi bridge in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. An emblematic venue for Dionysian social gatherings, KHIDI also serves as a centre of progressive political action for young Georgians fighting for a democratic future. Shot by New York director Nancy Allison and her Venetian partners, choreographer Laura Boato and Michela Lorenzano, the Georgian dancers explore Western contemporary dance practices in this unique setting. This intercultural art collaboration forms a powerful combination of creativity, courage, and pure joy.
