Jean Rochefort, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Philippe Noiret, and Jean-Paul Belmondo: this is the story of a group of comedian friends. The theatre was their ideal, cinema will be their paradise. Jean-Paul Belmondo, the relaxed Parisian who failed the entrance exam, will make sparks fly. A star, a phenomenon! Rochefort, Marielle, and Noiret, the three provincials, will climb the steps of recognition one by one, from the little cabarets on the Left Bank to the TV shows of the Buttes-Chaumont pioneers, and from the B movies to the classics. They have been friends since the ‘50s and will be friends for life. They are kids at heart (kids at 20, still kids at 70!) keen to grab every opportunity: to enjoy the company of women and friends, drive racing cars, make beautifully shot films, and indulge their passion for discovery.
