This film will be presented during the La Nuit du court event on March 22nd, 2025 at Concordia University.

The testimonies of the Mashteuiatsh Puakuteu women’s committee, a group of women from the Pekuakamiulnuatsh Indigenous community, shape this intimate short film about mourning and healing. Through doll-making workshops, the women share their doubts, hopes, and build a space filled with strength and solidarity.

Comité de femmes Puakuteu

A community organization in the Indigenous community of Mashteuiatsh, Puakuteu promotes projects for women and young people. It was founded in 2012, when a group of women from the community wanted to raise awareness about the history and lasting scars of residential schools. Honouring residential school survivors, their descendants and their families.
