This film will be presented during the event La Nuit du court on March 16, 2024 at Concordia University.
Selected for the Venice Architecture Film Festival, NIX offers an ethereal encounter with light and weather in a contemporary snow fort on Winnipeg’s frozen Nestaweya River Trail. Created for the 2023 Warming Huts competition, artist Wanda Koop, designer Thom Fougere, and a team of snow experts craft this temporary structure, blending art and architecture. The play of light and sound resonates within a polar vortex at North America’s geographical center.
