This film is presented during the event La Nuit de la danse on March 18, 2022 at Théâtre Outremont.

This film is inspired by the life and paintings of the Polish-born artist Tamara de Lempicka. She is an art deco icon, whose modern, bright-coloured paintings are still being snapped up by collectors to this day. Director Iwona Pasinska explores de Lempicka’s duality through dance: on the one hand, she is overwhelmed by an artistic frenzy that awakens her inner demon; on the other hand, she is calm and frozen in perpetual expectation. The movements of the dancers reflect the elegance and precision of the paintings of this exceptional artist.
