Presented in collaboration with the Maison de la culture Saint-Laurent, this portrait of South African photographer Ernest Cole by Raoul Peck recounts his wanderings, his artistic torment, and his daily anger at the silence or complicity of the Western world in the face of the horrors of the apartheid regime. It also tells how, in 2017, 60,000 negatives of his work were discovered in a Swedish bank vault.

Presented in collaboration with Paraloeil, this film paints a portrait of Robert Roussil, a major figure in Québec sculpture who left his mark on art history with his bold works and his commitment to freedom of expression. Yet since his death in 2013, his legacy seems to be fading into oblivion. Robert Roussil, le cul par terre seeks to rekindle the memory of this visionary artist by exploring his work and his philosophy. — With director Maxime-Claude L’Écuyer in attendance.
