Presented in collaboration with the Centre d’art et essai of the Cinémathèque québécoise, this creative biopic perfectly captures the magical, colorful, and extravagant world of Sergei Parajanov. Beyond his personal story, it evokes a USSR in the midst of change and highlights the filmmaker’s courage in the face of oppression. Among the works devoted to him, this one best conveys the surreal and whimsical spirit of his creations.
